Welcome!

Prostate cancer is the most diagnosed non-skin cancer in men and the second cause of cancer death after lung cancer. During this year alone 4,300 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in Arizona and some 700 men will die from the disease and yet most Arizona families have a low level of awareness to the risk of prostate cancer. We intend to change this.

OUR MISSION

Is to improve public awareness to the risk of prostate cancer in Arizona and to promote early detection to avoid an advanced stage diagnosis. Many deaths can be avoided if the cancer is detected early. The simplest way to do this is by having your doctor check you with a prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test and a digital rectal examination (DRE).

WHO WE ARE

The Southwest Prostate Cancer Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization founded in October, 1999 by volunteers and volunteer survivors who are dedicated to make prostate cancer a family issue in Arizona by raising public awareness. Southwest Prostate Cancer Foundation holds monthly meetings with presentations by guest experts on various topics about prostate cancer. Join us at one of these meetings and come away with a better understanding of who we are, and why we are so committed to bringing down the number of deaths caused by this disease. Call 602-547-3806 for a meeting schedule.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

Prostate cancer kills men in Arizona once every 15 hours. Many of these deaths are unnecessary if the cancer is diagnosed at an earlier stage. Your donation will support our awareness program and will provide free tests for men who have the highest risks of developing prostate cancer. HELP US WITH YOUR DONATIONS
