Is AzSE a chapter of the American Society of Echocardiography?
No. At this
point, we are a separate organization. Recently, the American
Society has shown an interest in affiliating with local and state
organizations but, at this point, we remain independent.
Who runs AzSE?
AzSE is run by a twelve member Board of Directors elected from our membership according to the Society's bylaws. The Board of Directors consists of the Executive Committee which runs the daily operations of the Society, and the chairs of the Special Committees. By being on the Internet, anyone with a computer and a modem will be able to access the information that you see on these pages. In addition, people can use electronic mail to communicate quickly and cheaply (you can't get any cheaper than free!) The Society exists to serve the needs of all of Arizona's sonographers and echocardiographers, regardless of where in the state they live. We would like to be a resource for ultrasound professionals throughout the state of Arizona and perhaps even beyond. The Internet has the power to bring information to the farthest reaches of the state and, indeed, even nationally and internationally. |
