Since our inception we have addressed business meetings, church
groups, civic groups, hospitals, newspapers, non-profit agencies,
magazines, professional associations, radio stations, service clubs,
schools, and television stations.
Many AzAMFT
therapists are published writers and skilled public speakers on a
variety of mental health topics. The AzAMFT Speakers Bureau serves
as a convenient way for private and public groups to access
certified marriage and family therapists for their meetings,
workshops, or grand rounds. Though we list contacts in
Phoenix
and
Tucson,
AzAMFT members live throughout the state. We generally can provide a
speaker to any community in
Arizona.
The AzAMFT
Speakers Bureau is a service sponsored by the association. For long
workshops or in the case of significant travel, some presenters may
request a fee.
A Resource
to Journalists
The AzAMFT
Speakers Bureau serves as a resource to members of the news media
who seek specialized, professional commentary on topical issues.
Many of our members have experience with the media and can respond
with immediacy during the short deadlines inherent in print and
electronic news gathering.
