Our Vision - a world without Alzheimer's. Our mission - to "stand by you" as you face the challenges and the changes brought about by Alzheimer's disease.

Helping people understand Alzheimer's disease, and providing programs and services to assist individuals throughout the disease process is a fundamental part of the Alzheimer's Association mission. So is funding innovative research and advocating for quality services.

Today one in 10 persons over age 65 and nearly half of those over 85 have Alzheimer's, although younger people also get the disease.

But the battle is too big to fight alone. Since 1981 the Greater Phoenix Chapter has been working as a catalyst for progress, collaboratively with others --doctors, social workers, researchers, policy makers, care facility administrators, and affected family members to advance knowledge and understanding about Alzheimer's disease.

Together we are extending our collective reach and developing stronger programs, ensuring better care and getting closer to a world without Alzheimer's disease.

About the Greater Phoenix Chapter of Alzheimer's Association. A local 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization incorporated in the State of Arizona and governed by a local board of directors. Our mission is to "Reach Out to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease and support research leading to a world without Alzheimer's disease." Our funding comes from individuals, corporations and fund-raising events. The Chapter is an affiliate of the National Alzheimer's Association based in Chicago.
