The National Down Syndrome Congress annual convention is being held in
Phoenix, August 8 - 10, 1997, at the Pointe at South Mountain.
This is the 25th anniversary of the Congress and the 1st time the convention is being held in Arizona.
This year's event will feature nationally known speakers leading workshops on parenting a child with Down syndrome from birth through adulthood. Speakers will include parents, physicians, educators, researchers, etc.
Workshops for siblings and grandparents, along with a Youth and Adults Conference will be featured highlights of this year's event.
