Marching Band Presents

A Drum Major Caption at State made it all worthwhile!

Mr. Eric Holden is the Director of Bands at Desert Vista HS. Mr. Ludwig arranged the music for the Thunder.
This year's show is from the Broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Weber.
The 1998 production received a Superior with distinction at the AZ State Marching Band Finals with four Captions.
The band also earned a Superior with Distinction at NAU Band Day with a Music Caption; a Superior at ASU Band Day.

Chris, Andy, JP and Mr. Holden before the last Home game (11/13/98) feeling cool on a night where the Thunder would pound Chandler 40-6. Ouch!	The Percussion (Drumline/Pit) captured a Caption at State.
The Auxiliary team earns a Caption at State.	Already marching like a Blue Devil!
This is no Gong show!	The Clarintets step up to a Marching Caption at State!

The 1998-99 Thunder Marching band is under the direction of Mr. Eric Holden.
The band is in its third year participating at the varsity level. Desert Vista High School
finally has a senior class starting this year. But already the marching band program is
becoming well known across the state.
